There are many obstacles that every location we serve struggles with (lack of clean water, lack of reliable electricity, lack of education, lack of nutritious food, and more). However, we recognize that every situation is different. That is why we work towards the best solution for each unique situation and location.
DESIGN
Designs For Hope was birthed from the desire to use God-given talents as a tool for mission. Our organization was started by engineers, designers, and other talented technical people for the purpose of making both spiritual and physical impacts in the world’s poorest areas. We understand our unique ability to solve difficult problems for local churches in the developing world. MEETING PHYSICAL NEEDS
WATER
Close to half of all people in developing countries are suffering at any given time from health problems caused by water and sanitation deficits. To address this problem, Designs For Hope seeks to provide individual water filtration and both shallow water and deep water wells. Clean water makes an immediate impact on the most vulnerable.
ENERGY
Perhaps the single greatest impediment to sustained economic and social growth is the pervasive problem of energy poverty — the lack of access to a steady, clean and safe supply of electricity. According to the International Energy Agency, roughly 1.2 billion people around the world lack access to electricity.

Whatever the need of your community, we can find an appropriate solution. From a playground for children with disabilities to irrigation design to septic tank design, we will incorporate our design process to find an appropriate solution to the need.
MEETING SPIRITUAL NEEDS
CERTIFICATION
Designs For Hope is working with both Birmingham Theological Seminary and Third Millennium to bring an accredited Certification in Christian Ministry for our ministry partners. We have seen the desperate need to train and equip pastors with sound doctrine across the globe. We are working hand-in-hand with our partners in Africa to provide over 250 pastors with an accredited certificate by March 2021.
CONFERENCES
Every partnership visit includes some sort of pastoral training. Most of our conferences address specific needs that are voiced by the local churches and their leadership. Designs For Hope staff will then create a detailed schedule and provide training by either local teachers or North American pastors/teachers. DISCIPLESHIP
Through our deep love and commitment to our partner churches, denominations, and missional organizations we walk beside the leadership as friends and brothers. We pray for them, encourage them, and counsel them through life’s journey. Everyone, especially a pastor, needs to be discipled. By building up the local church, we empower them to ignite their communities with the gospel of Jesus.
