Haiti Water Well

Earlier this year, Designs For Hope and our partner, Reaching Haiti for Christ, identified a need for clean water & sanitation in the Bombard region of Western Haiti. Unlike other areas of Haiti, this area has had very little support from non-profit ministries and government support due to its remoteness and difficulty to travel to.

Currently, the villagers are relying on rainwater and dirty rivers for their source of water. Not only does this pose a challenge with water scarcity, but it also increases the chances for waterborne diseases among the children, women, and men in the area.

Our proposal is to drill a deepwater well where we would provide a hand pump for the retrieval of safe and clean water.
