When the flooding hit Bagmati and Dhading on August 26, it destroyed homes, bridges, and the power grid itself. A solar lantern needs nothing but sunlight to keep working — no fuel, no grid, no ongoing cost. Our partners on the ground are distributing them directly to the most vulnerable households: elderly residents, women with children, and displaced families.
